13. Rock Step Side Step with 90 Degree Rotation
This is the same as Exercise as in 12 with one difference. Between the second ‘quick’ (right foot back regaining weight for leaders) and the first slow (LS for leaders), leaders pivot on their right foot counterclockwise by 90 degrees. So when you take the side step you are already facing a perpendicular direction. Followers will of course pivot on their left before taking the right side step.
This pattern lets you rotate in place when repeated or can be used to arbitrarily change direction.
