4. Send out to two-hand open positionThe footwork and the lead and follow are the same as the send out on the previous page, the longer name for which might have been "send out to one-hand open position". The variation here occurs on 3&4 where the leader slides his hand from the follower’s left shoulder blade to the top part of the back of the follower’s left arm.
Palm up, he slides
his right hand down
to the lady's hand
Then on 5&6 the leader lets his right hand slide down the length of the follower's left arm until he reaches the end and takes hold of the follower's left hand. The follower travels straight and away from the leader until she achieves counter balance. This is a way to get into two-hand open position to set up for sugar pushes which will be covered later in this lesson.
